Between us, we hold a simple belief: creation is how we find each other, we're carried through stories that hold our contradictions, our humour, our pain, and thus our beauty; it is within that space true connection takes shape. Because without the imperfections, there's no truth. And without truth, there's no connection.
Our Story
Connected by the wisdom of our representatives at the Bohemia Group, we, as all busy creatives do in the current day, played email tag for several weeks. Sure, we're always thrilled to meet another creator but we could never manage to align. Eventually one fateful evening we fell onto a Zoom and several hours later decided that we were metaphorically and filmatically in love.
What emerged from that conversation was indeed a special kind of romance, because we found a shared creative vision.
Thornbyrd | Equilibri is built on auteur-driven genre storytelling, work that moves through frontier landscapes, psychological interiors, and the body as a site of power and inheritance. Across the slate, our stories are grounded in precise, specific worlds while remaining expansive in scope, intimate enough to be felt, distinctive enough to travel strongly in the international market.
The through line is a belief that the most universal stories come from somewhere particular. Characters who know exactly where they come from, what they've been given, and what they're choosing to leave behind. Stories that carry weight and move fast. Cinematic worlds that are heightened without losing their footing in something real.
The rest of our story will exist in two places. In our chests, and on the screen.
