FAQ's

HAVE QUESTIONS...

So you should! Question everything....we always do. Check the list below for some of the standards. And, don't be shy, hit us up with anything we may have missed.

WHERE DO I FIND PRE-WRITTEN SCENES?

If you are in an acting class we recommend talking to your teacher or coach. They usually have a catalogue of scripts and will know what type of script will suit you best. There are also several online resources. One of our favorites is Simply Scripts. Another great one to check out is the Internet Movie Script Database.

SHOULD I DO A FAMOUS SCENE, FROM A FAMOUS MOVIE OR TV SERIES?

We understand the urge. I mean who doest want to rock the America Ferrera monologue from Barbie? The thing is America already rocked it, and killed it, and everybody knows that version. So while we can't tell you what to do... we don't recommend it. You don't want to distract Casting Directors from your performance and you certainly don't want them comparing you to anyone but you! Try and pull lesser known scenes that suit your style and then you will be the star of the scene,

CAN I BRING MY OWN SCENE PARTNER?

Yes, in fact if you have someone that you vibe with really well then we recommend bringing them in. Anything that is going to make you look good. If you don't have a wind beneath your wings, no problems,  we've got your back.

CAN MY SCENE BE LONGER THAN 45 SECONDS?

Great question, we are honestly glad you asked. We don't recommend doing scenes over 1 minute for a couple of reasons.

Reps and Casting Directors are busy people. They tend to operate on the philosophy of "Don't bore us, get to the chorus." They want to see what you can do as quickly and efficiently as possible. Remember they are usually multitasking, and you don't want them to get distracted before you hit your characters big moment.

Also, as an aside. Platforms such as Actors Access (The primary platform used in the US) charge $10 per minute you upload. So we keep it under a minute because those tens of dollars add up.

CAN I BRING MY PET?

Down to the important questions...we are animal lovers! But we find that most animals don't really like being on set. The equipment can be a little scary for them and they tend to want to make noise when we are rolling, so please leave your fur babies at home. With that being said...we expect to see photos.

CAN I BRING MY POSSE?

You roll deep... we get it. If you want to bring one or two (max) of your biggest fans for moral support and encouragement we are all for it. But remember that you are here to work, we want you to be focused and at your best.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINK?

By all means, we def don't want you to starve and hydrating with non alcoholic beverages is a must. Please keep in mind that we run our sets as professional productions and the consumption of drugs and alcohol is not permitted. Work first, party later.

CAN YOU EDIT MY CLIPS TOGETHER INTO A SHOWREEL OR INTO MY CURRENT SHOWREEL?

We can edit anything. Let us know what you are looking for and we will shoot you over a quote for the additional services.
